What the heck???

Maya just puked up her dinner (1 ounce of formula with vitamins plus a bit under 4 ounces of formula with rice- which is supposed to help keep it down!). Not sure what is going on. She was very hungry tonight as we were leaving church and I'm wondering if she gulped it down and then, on the burp, it just all came back up. But it brings back too many memories from a month ago... Thankfully, no choking, just a lot of regurgitated bottle, an outfit change for both Maya and Peter, and a pretty nasty living room chair...

I'm sorry, Michele ... that must be such a scary feeling even if you know she's okay. I hope she's able to keep her next meal down just fine.

The pics from your last post are soooo adorable! They're getting so big! I can hardly believe they're 4 months old!

Depending on how many times she 'burps' up any amount of her feeding (especially with the rice added), you may want to ask her dr. if she might need a little extra medicinal help. AJ had to be on an acid reducer for almost a year (he was 11 weeks early). We started out with liquid zantac--it smelled and tasted awful and it didn't help him at all. Prevacid was the answer for us! That, along with the thickened bottles, kept his reflux under control and burp ups down to hardly never.

That must be hard after what happened last time. Sorry about your living room chair. :(
I heard someone is at 400 posts??
Congrats!

Cooper does the same thing at least once a day...a projectile flow of formula. He's on Zantac twice a day and the next step is the rice cereal if its not better when he goes to his ped. the first week of February. From what I understand from my ped, that this is par for the course for a preemie. I'm sure its more traumatizing for us than it is for them...

Hoping that Maya's reflux gets better soon! And, Cooper's for that matter!

They gulp down too much air into the little tummy & that happens. Ah, I remember those days...

I'm grateful Maya is doing well.
They are both adorable in those pictures!

I can imagine the fear. Thinking of you and Maya.
